A Day of Remembrance for California, Assemblymember Cooley Honors Interned Japanese Americans
Sacramento - Seventy one years ago, during World War II Japanese Americans were forced into internment camps. February 20, 2013 marks a “Day of Remembrance” in California, as we look back to that dark time and vow to never let it happen again. California State Assemblymember Ken Cooley (D-Rancho Cordova) rose on the floor of the Assembly to honor the survivors of those camps and the Japanese American veterans who fought for the United States.
