RANCHO CORDOVA – On September 6, 2022 Assemblyman Ken Cooley presented a resolution honoring Diann H. Rogers as Woman of the Year 2022 at Rancho Cordova’s City Council meeting.

Every year, the California State Legislature honors women from their districts for their various contributions to their local communities. Diann H. Rogers is the President and CEO of the Rancho Cordova Chamber of Commerce. She has served over ten years with the Chamber and is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and program management of the Chamber and is integral to the internal operations and events management for the Best In Business Awards, the Business Outlook & Economic Forecast, and several smaller events throughout the year. Diann also serves the executive director of the Chamber Foundation and in facilitating the esteemed Leadership Rancho Cordova program.

“It is an honor to know Diann and to highlight her dedication to the businesses in eastern Sacramento County and the surrounding region,” said Assemblyman Cooley.  “I am grateful for her service, especially during the past two years of the pandemic when small businesses were struggling, Diann was the go-to resource for many business owners navigating through the complex grant applications and COVID prevention mandates, continued Cooley.”

“To be recognized by Assemblyman Cooley as the Women of the Year is truly an honor. Our community is led by so many amazing women and to be counted among them is a privilege. No one contributes to their community in a vacuum, and I am grateful for our Chamber team and the support of our Board of Directors,” said Diann Rogers.  “It is without reservation for me to say serving as the Chamber President & CEO is the best job I’ve ever had. The impact of what we do is both immediate and long-term. Supporting the prosperity of our local businesses ensures there are jobs, resources, goods and services, and investment in our community. As a friend of mine reminds me – nothing happens until someone buys something. The tangible ripple effect of a healthy local economy benefits us all.”

Prior to her tenure with Rancho Cordova, Diann was the Senior Vice President of Operations for the Folsom Chamber. She directed their Government Affairs program for several years before coming onboard full time.  As owner of her own company for nearly twenty years, The Rogers Group, Diann served as Executive Director of Northern & Central California Citizens Against Lawsuit Abuse (CALA) for over ten years. She advocated for legislative reform, increased awareness within the public and private sector, the media, and the general public.

Diann and her husband Ron have lived in the Sacramento area since 1996. She is a breast cancer survivor and remains cancer free since 2001. She is an avid soccer fan and alongside her son, earned a black belt in karate at age 40. A year ago, Diann and Ron became first time grandparents.
