About the Sima Spector Health Conference:
This annual conference originated from Hadassah Women's Zionist Organization of America, nationally providing free quality health education and information to women of all ages and all ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Sima Spector organized and led the Hadassah "Healthy Women, Healthy Lives" Women's Health Conference in the Sacramento area from 1994 until 2006, when she was tragically killed by a drunk driver. During the past decade, the conference was renamed to honor her memory and her dedication to health education.

Please join me and Secretary of State Alex Padilla and learn how the California Voter's Choice Act will make it easier for how, when and where you cast a ballot this year. All registered voters in Sacramento County have already received, or will receive their ballot in the mail for the June 5 Primary Election. Most neighborhood polling places will no longer be used for voting.  Instead, you now have three choices for voting.

1. VOTE-BY-MAIL: You can mail your ballot as soon as you receive it and sign it.

2. BALLOT DROP BOXES: You can drop off your ballot at any secure Ballot Drop Box as soon as you receive it. No postage is required at Ballot Drop Boxes. Find the Ballot Drop Box locations near you.

3. VOTE CENTERS: You can vote in person by visiting any Vote Center in Sacramento County. All Vote Centers will be open for at least four days: from Saturday, June 2, through Tuesday, June 5.  Some Vote Centers will be open for 11 days starting Saturday, May 26.

At every Vote Center you can:

  • Vote in person.
  • Register and vote the same day, all the way through Election Day.
  • Drop off your completed ballot.
  • Vote with an accessible voting machine.
  • Get help and voting materials in multiple languages.

29th Annual Kids Day at the Park – Free admittance

Event Date and Time

As a Founder of the City of Rancho Cordova and now its Assemblyman, I am always grateful for the Annual Kids Day in the Park in Rancho Cordova. Kids Day has become an institution over the last quarter century. It is the one day of the year where parents can come out, have a great time with their kids, and get a hand with something that keeps them up at night with worry.

Kids Day in the Park is always on the last Saturday of April. This year Kids Day pays homage to Mather Field's Centennial and the inspiration of flight with High Flyers! There will be more than 100 vendors with food and drink available for purchase, and a variety of resources for families and children, such as crafts and games. Make sure to visit the Police Activity League Bike Rodeo and enter to win a bike. I will have a resource table and staff will be on-hand to discuss legislative issues of concern or assist with State agencies or departments.
